Know what you’re responsible for
We’ll agree what you’re responsible for and what needs to be achieved, so you can get on with the work without checking every small decision.
CAREERS AT VARDANE
We’re looking for experienced people who can help make solar, batteries and other home energy systems easier to manage after installation.
Vardane is preparing its first service in Ireland, and we’re building a small team to develop the technology, organise the work and plan how customers will be supported.
01 Take responsibility for your work
02 Explain the decisions you make
03 Make things easier for the team
OUR FIRST OPPORTUNITIES
Our first roles start with a small number of paid hours, so we can agree manageable work and see how we work together. We’re also inviting interest from aftercare specialists for a future project.
2 roles accepting applications
Paid work with flexible commitmentsWe’re looking for an experienced engineer who can help us decide what Vardane needs to build first, then build a small working example. You’ll work directly with the founder, explaining your choices as you go and leaving the work easy for someone else to understand and maintain.
We’re looking for someone who can help the founder stay on top of meetings, hiring and the things people have agreed to do. You’ll keep the details organised, follow up when something needs attention and make sure the next step is clear without needing to be reminded each time.
You can also tell us about your experience for future project work.
We’re offering part-time and project work at this stage, and any increase in hours would need to be agreed separately.
HOW WE WORK
Leon Kennedy leads Vardane’s commercial work and is looking for people who can take responsibility for the areas where they have more experience.
You should be comfortable making decisions within the work we’ve agreed, explaining why you recommend a particular approach and asking for input when something needs a wider decision.
More about Leon and VardaneWe’ll agree what you’re responsible for and what needs to be achieved, so you can get on with the work without checking every small decision.
We value straightforward solutions that are easy to maintain, along with the judgement to say when something needs more time, information or specialist help.
By explaining your choices and keeping useful notes, you’ll help the rest of the team understand the work and continue it without relying on you for every answer.
A STRAIGHTFORWARD START
We’d like to hear about something you’ve done and understand the part you played, using an example you can share without revealing confidential client or employer information.
Tell us about work you’ve done, the time you have available and why the role interests you, without having to prepare a cover letter.
If your experience looks relevant, we’ll arrange a conversation about the work and how you would approach it, with a technical discussion where the role needs one.
If we decide to try working together, we’ll agree what you’ll do, how much time it should take and what you’ll be paid before you begin.
If you’re registering interest in future project work, we’ll review your experience and contact you when there is a suitable project to discuss.
THERE’S MORE TO COME
Keep an eye on this page, as we plan to hire for more roles as Vardane grows. We’ll share new opportunities here when we’re ready to bring more people into the team.
If you have experience, skills or an idea that could help us, we’d like to hear how you see yourself contributing. There may be a project, a future position or a conversation we can explore together, even if it doesn’t match a role listed above.
Tell us how you could helpThis is a chance to introduce yourself, with no commitment to a role or project at this stage.
